Bergenia is a hardy and easy-care perennial, with large leathery leaves that stay green in winter and turn bronze with the autumn frost. In spring , pink flower heads appear above the leaves, bringing the first splash of color to a shady bed. Perfect as a ground cover under trees and shrubs.
