Bellflowers – furry cup-shaped flowers for the early spring garden

Pasqueflower ( Pulsatilla ) is one of the first spring bloomers, with hairy stems and leaves bearing velvety cup-shaped flowers in purple, white or red. After flowering, the plant is adorned with characteristic hairy seed heads, which add an exciting added value to the rock garden even in late summer. It prefers a sunny and well-drained location.
