Colchicum is a special bulbous flower that blooms when most garden plants have already gone dormant – in late summer and autumn. The leafless , pinkish-purple, cup-shaped flowers bring a surprising splash of color to a fading garden. The undemanding plant prefers a sunny location and is perfect for lawns and under trees.
