Description
A bush with large, heart-shaped, rough-haired leaves, above which lavender-pink flowers are arranged in up to 8 layers. Very long flowering period. The blossomed inflorescences are also very decorative. Height 80-120 cm. Fertile, moderately moist, well-drained, sunny location. Can also do in partial shade. Can also withstand periods of drought. Does not tolerate excessive moisture. The natural range includes the Balkan Peninsula, Bulgaria, Turkey, Central Asia, Iran and China. The large underground tubers are edible when cooked
