Description
Native to central and eastern North America. Well suited for naturalistic plantings. Very popular with bees and other pollinators. Aromatic foliage, purple to pastel pink flowers with dark spots. Blooms significantly earlier than other Monarda species - from late May to late June. After flowering, can be cut back to maintain a more compact shape. Height 30-60 cm. Also tolerates drier and thinner growing conditions.
