Description
An eye-catcher with silvery prickly inflorescences from the second half of summer. Long flowering period. A plant with a deep taproot for dry, nutrient-poor and sunny locations. Does not like disturbance and the divided plant takes root poorly. Short-lived, but renews itself from seed. Valued material in dry settings.
