Description
An easy-to-grow prairie candle species, preferring a sunny or semi-shaded location with good drainage and moist soil. It also tolerates drought well. Height 80-90 cm. The starchy bulbs were used by the Indians for food. 'Semiplena' with its white semi-double flowers has a very long flowering period and also holds up well as a cut flower in a vase.
