Description

Grows naturally from the southern Urals to Mongolia and northwest China in the steppes and rocky slopes. Very drought-resistant, with broad strap-shaped leaves, the bush bears pinkish-violet, 30-60 cm tall inflorescences in June-July. The drooping flower buds are decorative even before they open. The taste is quite sharp.
