Description
In spring, modest but lovely reddish flowers bloom, followed by decorative winged seeds. The Korean maple is a true autumn star – a graceful, slow-growing small tree or large shrub that delights the garden all year round, but especially with its autumn colours. Its deeply lobed leaves are fresh green in summer, but in autumn they light up in fiery shades: yellow, orange, red and purple often alternate on the same plant at the same time. It prefers moderately moist, humus-rich and well-drained soil and a semi-shady to sunny location. It is also well suited to a smaller garden and tolerates our winters without problems. Height 3-5 m
